Ornament Bin Label Night

Clear bins and labels for holiday ornaments

On 2 Dec 2024 I sat on the living room rug with three clear bins and a roll of painter tape. Ornaments that still earn a hook went in bin A. Tangled lights that fight you every year went to donate. Broken glass went straight to the trash so it could not hide in tissue again.

Labeling the lids mattered more than pretty boxes. Next December I can lift one kit instead of opening six mystery totes. If you are packing a flat before Christmas guests arrive, this is the night to finish the tree kit so nobody is stepping over tinsel while the floors get washed.

I treat holiday decor like any other seasonal wardrobe: one in-use crate, one overflow you revisit, and nothing stored dirty. A clean bin is easier to stack, and it keeps pine needles from traveling into the next room you just reset.
