Simplify: 7 Guiding Principles to Help Anyone Declutter Their Home and Life

Weekend Reading, 2/13/10

Blizzard of 2010

Despite somewhere between 4 and 5 feet of snow over the past week, I managed to make it home from Blissdom in between parts 1 and 2 of the blizzard that blanketed much of the Northeast. While the snow has affected everything from my husband’s work schedule to our Valentine’s Day plans, one benefit of living in the boonies is that the fields around our home are still covered in sparkling, pristine snow rather than that black messy stuff that you deal with in cities and suburbs following a snow storm and the subsequent clean up.

Although I’m still catching up from 6 days away, I’m excited to start sharing links with you again after a break over Christmas and during the 31 Days series. Be sure to check out my Tumblr account as well, which you can always get to from the sidebar, because I bookmark posts, articles and recipes all the time!

Hi. My name is Mandi and I’m an organizing junkie. I’m also a wife, and Momma to four little girls (5.5, 4, 2.5 and a baby!). I've worked at home since our oldest was a baby, and like a lot of other moms, my life is a constant balancing act of caring for my family and my home, meeting my obligations and finding time for hobbies in there somewhere. Oh, yeah, in the interest of full disclosure, I’m somewhat of a kitchen dunce and I only like to pretend that I’m crafty. Read more here!

  2. That is a beautiful photo! I live far enough south in Texas that we haven’t had any snow at all. I appreciate the links – especially the ones to Simple Mom and the rest. Glad you are still contributing over there! Have a great weekend!
