Question of the Day: How Would You Describe Your Personality?

Since it’s now my turn to have the flu, I decided to stick with a question of the day today instead of the post I had planned (about balancing sentimentality and decluttering, which I’ll post about next week).
Today I want to know…
How would you describe your personality?
Are you task-oriented or people-oriented?
Have you ever taken a Myers-Briggs inventory? What is your personality type?
What is your DISC personality?
What other personality tests have you taken?
Do you find the insights from tests like these to be valuable or a waste of time?
I am most definitely task-oriented. Lists, lists, lists. How I love them. As for Myers-Briggs, I’m pretty sure I am now a ESFJ, although I used to be an ENFJ (in high school).
And I just took the DISC test and came up as an Analyzing Coordinator. In reading the descriptions of things that I do/do not like, I have to say that this test NAILED it. It was amazing!
I think these insights can be very valuable in getting to know yourself. If nothing else, they encourage you to reflect on your strengths AND your weaknesses, which I’m not sure people (including myself) do enough of.

I’m definitely people oriented and I took the Myers-Briggs test and am ENFJ. Very interesting stuff!
I do find these tests to be beneficial. Personally, I think the more you can learn about yourself, the more it can help you to react to certain things/situations in a better way. Like, if I know I tend to be really impatient (which I don’t need a test to tell me! LOL!) I can use that information to find ways to be more patient. Or just praying about it helps, too!! HA!
A great book, I think, is Spirit Filled Temperaments by Tim Lahaye. Talks all about the different strengths and weaknesses of the 4 temperaments. It can help sometimes to know other peoples strengths and weaknesses to understand where they’re coming from, I think. Esp true in a marriage!!

ENTJ – I took MBTI in college and recently at work, so stayed relatively the same almost 20 years later. I am a people-oriented person who loves lists. So not sure which one to pick there????

I am ENTP (though I am very close to the n/s line). I actually like these tests most for help in dealing w/ others. It has really helped me to understand other people better. Esp I’s and F’s (since I am so strongly not those)

I always loved doing the Meyer/Briggs and other personality tests.. I first became familiar with them when I first worked for Boeing 17 years ago and they were a part of our raise criteria. I never enjoyed working towards a raise so much..
Im in a group with some awfully awesome folks. 
Im in INFJ. Occationally I’ll score as an INSJ but the other 3 always stay constant.
John Bradshaw, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, John Calvin, Nicole Kidman are other INFJs.
I’ll have to check out the others later, my grandangels have come to visit <3
