Last spring, I showed you the new line of OXO Good Grips office supplies developed exclusively for Staples to make everyday work tasks easier, more efficient and more pleasant.
The product line continues to expand with a full line of retractable pens, dry erase markers and highlighters, each designed to provide a comfortable grip and with a focus on functionality.
I was sent another set of products to try and share with you, including:
:: 8″ scissors w/ box cutter setting. These scissors have become a favorite in my home! We use the box cutter setting — which works by crossing the tips to allow you to use the sharp edge — almost every day, for everything from opening packages to cutting arm holes in a cardboard-box-turned-robot-costume.
:: Retractable ballpoint pens. The unique retractable motion of these pens retracts the clip when exposing the tip so that you can’t clip it to your clothing with the tip exposed, which inevitably results in ink-stained pockets. I’m loyal to plain ol’ Bic pens, and I still find myself reaching for those, but the design is innovative and a great alternative for someone on the go!
:: Retractable dry-erase markers. Like the pens and highlighters, the dry-erase marker tip extends when you twist the pen, but these also feature a built-in eraser that extends as well. The chiseled tip and comfortable grip adds to the functionality of these markers.

Oh, organizational supplies, how I love thee! I am a school teacher in the middle of the worst economic crisis our country has seen in a while. There is no money in our school system for anything, the least of which would be actual school supplies. I cannot think of a time that these office supplies would come in any handier!

I love their Pen/pencil organizer. Right now, I have all my pens and pencils kept in a shoebox which doesn’t look nice on a computer desk. The pen/pencil organizer would help get rid of clutter on my desk and look more aesthetically appeasing.

The Push Pin Dispenser sounds wonderful. I currently have a ton of them in a plastic baggy and well, it’s very easy to get your finger pricked since they go right through the bag so that one is best for my home.

The stapler is the biggest deal for me, because my mother’s arthritis came down to me. I LOVE OXO products, and had no idea they were working with Staples to bring their ergonomic tools into the office. Those repetitive movements kill my hands for days.

I need those scissors. So many boxes come to our home for family and our business! I have ruins my scissors and I hid my box cutter from my kids. Evidently I’ve hidden it good since I can’t even find it!! And, my kids need the retractable dry erase markers. I think the push pin dispenser is really innovative. I keep my pushpins in the corkboard at all times because I have no good way to store them. If I put them in a little cup I poke myself and sometimes they end up on the floor.

I hardly ever enter give-away contests of any kind, but I had to this time – I just bought a couple of fun little dry-erase boards for my kiddos, who LOVE drawing on them. But my son can’t get the tops of the markers on and off my himself, so I am ALL OVER some clicky markers.

You won’t believe this but we just commented last night that we need new dry erase markers for our board in the barn. We are in the middle of a lambing season and the white board is our key to success in the early stages of record keeping and also with feeding. This way even our 8 and 10 year olds can go in and record things and also know what feed to give to whom. Those dry erase markers would come in very handy.

I love the retractable pens. I’m a special education teacher and I am in a different class each period. I always have ink spots on my sweaters and blouses from carrying my notebook, pens, and computer through a mob od sixth graders.

I think I’d use the retractible ball point pens as I have an arthritic condition and would LOVE to try them to see how they work.

The retractable pens and highlighters sound fantastic – we go through pens and markers and highlighters like they were going out of style. With two little boys who are too busy doing their art to remember to put the lids back on, this sounds fantastic!

I have never used OXO office supplies but I love their kitchen supplies. They are well built and work great. If their office products are just as good as their kitchen products, then I think I am hooked.
