Home Management Notebook: A Vlog and More Printables

Be sure you don't miss a thing! Subscribe to receive updates by email. Or if you use a feed reader, subscribe to my RSS feed! Thanks for visiting!

Today I wanted to take a few minutes to show you my home management system and how I ended up using the products I received from Carolina Pad. (Please note that there’s a video embedded in this post, and you may need to click through to the site in order to view it.)

I also have two once-a-month cooking printables for you. The first is a menu plan to keep track of the meals that are in your freezer and what you need to prepare and serve them. And the second is a pantry inventory list to make sure that you have enough of your basic staples on hand before your big cooking day:

More printables…

I apologize for the delay on the other printables I promised. As it turns out, it’s a good thing I finally took the time to backup my files because the screen on my laptop died yesterday, and I am working on my teeny tiny netbook now. More printables are coming, though!

Oh, yeah, in the interest of full disclosure, I’m somewhat of a kitchen dunce and I only like to pretend that I’m crafty. Read more here!

  1. Hi Mandi. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I’ve clicked through and can’t get the video to work…

It gives me a message on the screen saying this is a private video.

I’ll come back later to watch!

  4. Thanks so much for these resources. I have a busted old blue folder thingy that I currently just shovel things into, but my goal is to create something a little more errr… ummm… tasteful and presentable. (blushing)

  5. Thanks for sharing your system with us, Mandi. Maybe as an upgrade I will get all my stuff coordinated, but for now, the only thing linking all the pieces of my home management system is the labels that come from my label maker. Color coordination is something to aspire to for the future. :-) Thanks again for the ideas!

Also your system looks too cute all coordinated and such. I’m on a tight budget but may go to wally world to get some matching cute stuff!

  9. Hi,
I love the idea of a home management system that will really work. My one issue however with most of the ones that I have seen is that they are all geared towards families with small children. My situation is different in that there are no children but my elderly father lives with us. We also have two small dogs that need to be included in the equation. I have not yet found anything that encompasses these two factors. I know it should be semi-easy to adapt but I have not found that to be the case yet.

  11. Wonderful video! I’ve just discovered your website, and so far I’m loving it. I’m pretty organized, but always looking to improve. The accordian folder as an “ideas” repository is a great idea – I plan to start one of those.

  12. Great video! I love hearing how other people organize their stuff. While I do a lot of the stuff you use your system for with the computer, it made me realize that I probably need to at least have a paper or folder somewhere that is more easily accessible to my family. If something were to happen to me, I know that my husband would have trouble locating my bill paying info and passwords!
